Anushka Sharma Fitness Secrets

The international women’s magazine, Women’s Health, that was recently launched in India, has hit the stands today. An athletic Anushka Sharma sizzles on its cover, donning a pair of denim shorts with a striped bikini top. 


In an interview to the magazine, Anushka reveals how she got that rock hard bod through the right diet and work out routine.  


Fitness routine
Anushka’s fitness regime includes intense weight training for an hour a day, five days a week. “Just as you can’t blindly follow fashion, you can’t follow fitness either. Don’t stress yourself out thinking, ‘I have to lose weight’, or look like Deepika or Priyanka or Anushka. Be yourself in whatever you do,” says the actor.  


A healthy platter
Anushka dismisses recent reports of her being anorexic. “I know that I lead a healthy lifestyle,” she says.  She has six meals a day that takes care of her protein, carb and fat requirements; and caps her calories at 2000 a day. Anushka also drinks at least 3-4 litres water a day, that ensures her flawless complexion.


Beauty mantra 
Even on sets, Anushka prefers to sport a fresh look, wearing minimal make-up. And instead of flipping out when that stray pimple makes an appearance, she ensures that she eats right, chugs water and gets enough shut-eye. Ask her what’s her top beauty advice and she says, “I’d advise people to never step out without wearing an SPF, not even on a cloudy day.”
